The inserter is made of medical-grade material which is proven to leave no abrasive debris. The lens is loaded onto the inserter during the manufacturing process and sterilized. Prior to surgery all that is required is for the surgeon to click the lens vial onto the inserter handle and insert into the pocket created with the femto-second laser, deploying the lens in line with the previously marked spot on the apex of the cornea.
